What does “recharge” mean to you? Each person recharges their body and mind in their own way. This is key to maintain overall balance and wellbeing. Massage is an important component to an integrative approach to health and wellness.
Modern society overstimulates the mind and nervous system. Computers and cell phones emit blue light that impacts the brain and the release of melatonin. No matter how you recharge, we all need to disconnect. Receiving regular massage and bodywork can allow you to disconnect from your devices, your work, your email, and your life. This break allows the body to takeover. Calming the nervous system and activating the parasympathetic nervous system or “rest and digest” relaxation phase allows for this body and mind break.
The human body is meant to move and groove with life. It is meant to last us a lifetime of mobility, strength, and energy to dance the night away. Sometimes injury, illness, repetitive stress, or long periods of postural strain may cause pain, tension, and immobility. Receiving regular bodywork can alleviate chronic pain and increase flexibility. Massage is about maintenance for the body. If you feel stressed, overwhelmed, muscle tension, or pain, massage can help.
Massage and bodywork are important for everyone.
